What platforms is Crimson Moon on?

Crimson Moon is available on three platforms: PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It launched simultaneously on all platforms on September 1, 2026 — there is no early-access period or platform-exclusive launch window.

How much does it cost on each platform?

Pricing is unified across platforms:

EditionPriceContents
Standard$19.99The complete Crimson Moon adventure
Deluxe$29.99Game + Ceremonial Armor Set + Axe of the Gods + post-launch expansion

The developers’ launch announcement describes the Standard Edition as “the complete Crimson Moon adventure” — the Deluxe extras are cosmetic DLC plus one expansion, not gated gameplay. See the full editions breakdown. Regional pricing may vary per platform.

Which platform gets a bonus?

PS5 — every PlayStation 5 player receives the Sonai Magistrate Armor Set free at launch, regardless of edition, according to launch reporting. PC and Xbox have no equivalent announced bonus. Details on the PS5 page.

Is Crimson Moon on Game Pass?

Does the PC version support key rebinding?

Yes — as of September 3, 2026. The PC version shipped without key remapping at launch (September 1), the single most common complaint in early Steam reviews, which sat at a Mixed rating (roughly 54% positive of 1,100+ reviews as of September 2).

The developers responded on launch day with an official Steam announcement, “An Update on PC Keybinding”: Team Metal was “already working on a rapid first implementation of keybinding support”, calling it their priority to reach PC players as quickly as possible. That first implementation shipped two days later as Patch 1.0.0.1 (build 162350) — an officially “Alpha” keybinding system with full keyboard/mouse remapping, resetting bindings to defaults, and mouse sensitivity. Multiple bindings, double-tap inputs and hold inputs are not included yet and remain planned for a future update. Hotfix 1.0.1 (September 11) then fixed a batch of bugs around the Alpha system — interaction prompts and HUD icons now follow custom bindings, and the remapping screens gained their missing Cancel option. Full details: the patch notes guide.

Is there crossplay between platforms?

Crossplay is supported across all three platform families — PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC — per Game8’s launch-day crossplay page, which also explains how cross-platform sessions form: Quick Match into public games, or host-and-share game codes. That matches Game Informer’s hands-on preview (March 2026), which had already reported the two-player co-op as cross-platform. On the official side, ProbablyMonsters has referenced the feature only in passing: the September 9 development update lists “co-op and crossplay fixes” among the planned Hotfix 1.0.2 fixes — an official acknowledgment, but no feature page of its own yet. Whether progress carries across platforms (cross-save) remains undescribed.

Which platform should you choose?

All versions launch with the same content and the same $19.99 price, so the practical differences are the PS5 armor bonus and your preferred controller ecosystem. New players should start with the beginner guide on whichever platform they own.
