Who is General Valahk-Nor?

General Valahk-Nor is one of the six Vessels — Crimson Moon’s district-boss tier beneath the Dead Gods. The community wiki’s entry calls him “A General of the Infernal Legion and bane of humanity” — a demon general waiting at the end of the Wall Tower (see the full boss roster for the ladder he sits on).

When do you fight Valahk-Nor?

Game8’s boss list places him at Mission II: Wall Tower — the mission’s second Ward. The same list’s unlock rule applies to every Mission I–III second Ward: it “only unlocks after clearing the first Ward in a previous run”, so your road runs through Cardinal Mathias in the Archspire Cathedral first, with the Wall Tower waiting on a later hunt.

What is the fight like?

No verified attack patterns, phases, weaknesses or drop tables for Valahk-Nor have been published by any source this wiki trusts.

One boundary worth drawing explicitly: the same lore that names him Tyrigon’s rider does not say whether the dragon joins this fight. Whether the Wall Tower battle involves Tyrigon at all is unverified — treat any mounted-duel framing you read elsewhere as speculation until launch footage confirms it.

How does Valahk-Nor connect to Tyrigon, Solomon and Cain?

Three threads run through his story:

  • The dragon. Tyrigon, the Mission I Vessel, is “the faithful mount of the demon General Valahk-Nor” — mount and rider form a paired set of bosses across consecutive missions.
  • The legion. The Infernal Legion he serves is, per PlayStation’s official reveal, ruled by the vampire lord Solomon Moore — “the architect of Gildenarch’s demise” — and, per community lore, the same web that ensnared Cardinal Mathias.
  • The resurrection. Single-source community lore adds his deeper history: he was “Cain’s second-in-command during the Rite of Desolation”, was defeated by “a young Gallant Alexander” and had his soul banished, and was later resurrected to “redeem himself once more”.

How should you prepare for Valahk-Nor?

By Mission II your purified collection should offer real choices — pre-equip a loadout at the Loadout Station rather than defaulting to whatever the last hunt handed you, and match your nine gear slots to a plan you can execute patiently. Dynamic difficulty scaling lets you scout the Wall Tower at a comfortable setting first; preview coverage describes an extra-lives system that softens failed learning attempts. In co-op, early coverage describes a shared failure budget — the run’s lives belong to both players, so sync your aggression before the arena.

What does Valahk-Nor drop?

The community wiki catalogues two drops from this fight: the one-handed sword Gildenarch’s Glory, whose Weapon Art is the general’s own Valak Slam, and the Ram armor set. Boss drops staying on their boss’s theme is a pattern across the whole catalogue — and this one doubles down with the art named after the fight itself. Both single-source entries are the complete known drop list so far; see the weapons list for every boss-sourced weapon, and the loot guide for how drops persist via Purification.

What comes after the Wall Tower?

Mission III follows with its own pair of Wards: the Flesh-Wrought Egregore at Elk Grove Academy and Felwyl the Withered at Moore Manor. Beyond them wait Mission IV’s two World Bosses and the endgame — the full ladder is tracked in the bosses overview, and every hunt still departs from Sanctus Clypeus.

FAQ

What mission is General Valahk-Nor in?
Game8's launch boss list places him in Mission II — the Wall Tower, the mission's second Ward. Per the same list, second Wards in Missions I–III only unlock after clearing the mission's first Ward in a previous run, so the Archspire Cathedral comes first.
Is General Valahk-Nor a Dead God?
No. Community documentation lists him as a Vessel — the district-boss tier below the Dead Gods. The Dead Gods are the ancient beings bound to the Abraxas Stones; Valahk-Nor is a general of the Infernal Legion.
Who is Cain in Crimson Moon?
Cain appears so far only in single-source community lore: the figure Valahk-Nor served as second-in-command during the Rite of Desolation, and the one who later resurrected him. Nothing else about Cain is verified — this wiki does not speculate.
