Who are the Dead Gods?

The Dead Gods are the boss class of Crimson Moon — the fabled entities whose defeats mark your progress reclaiming the fallen holy city of Gildenarch for the Order of the Crimson Moon. Officially, runs “culminate in brutal boss encounters with the fabled Dead Gods”: these fights are the climax of the game’s savage, replayable mission structure.

How do boss fights work?

Boss encounters cap your runs. The combat is described by the developers as visceral, souls-inspired melée — which means attack patterns, dodging and patience decide fights, not raw level. Your loadout matters: because there are no classes, the weapons and armor you bring back from previous runs define what you can survive.

What enemies will you fight on the way?

Between bosses, each Ward’s replayable missions mix regular enemies, elite encounters and mini-bosses (officially), drawn from four announced enemy families: demons, undead, vampires and Hellgrowth abominations. Early player guides describe an “ever-evolving horde”, so mission composition varies hunt to hunt.

How hard are the bosses?

By design, very. Crimson Moon’s melée combat is souls-inspired and its missions are explicitly high-risk, high-reward — but the game also features dynamic difficulty scaling, so every mission (including boss encounters) can be tuned to your skill level, with greater rewards at higher settings. Struggling players can also bring a partner via two-player co-op.

When will individual boss guides appear?

As soon as verified data exists. Per-boss pages — attack patterns, weaknesses, recommended gear and co-op tactics — are the top content priority now that the game is live. Until then, start with the beginner guide fundamentals and check back; this page links every guide as it publishes.
